Don’t be fooled by Lexie Hull’s wholesome demeanor.
The Indiana Fever shooting guard is what YMCA basketball veterans call “crafty.” Her schoolyard trick was caught on camera during the Fever’s 84-79 win over the Atlanta Dream.
During the game, Dream’s Rhyne Howard steps out of the lane. Upon closer inspection, however, it’s Stanford Cardinal graduate Hull who gives Howard a little shove. No harm, no foul, right?
Her teammates on the sidelines and the commentators enjoyed it, but her mother Jaime pointed out her daughter’s antics.
If Hull got away with it, that’s exactly why the Fever shooting guard did it. And it’s awesome that mom still made it a point to defend Howard for the sneaky foul. SMH on my kid at that point!,” is a hilarious kicker.
It was a rough week for WNBA referees, as two-time MVP and WNBA champion A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces mocked the “ridiculous” WNBA referees during an interview during the game.
