Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is not just one of the biggest stars in the WNBA, she’s also one of the most popular athletes in the nation. Clark has been on fire since returning from the Olympic break, earning the title of Eastern Conference Player of the Week after averaging 25 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds over three games.
However, turning heads at Gainbridge Fieldhsouse was none other than Simone Biles, who became the most-decorated gymnast in U.S. history following her historic run at the 2024 Paris Olympics. While most people are excited to meet Clark, when it came to the NCAA’s all-time scorer meeting Biles, the roles were reversed.
“Lemme fan girl real quick,” Clark posted on her Instagram Stories while sharing a video of meeting Biles.
Biles absolutely loved her time watching the Fever (15-16) take down the Sun (22-8). The 11-time medalist posted on X after the game, “EVERYONE WATCHES WOMENS SPORTS so happy to be able to go support! my first of many WNBA games.”
Also in attendance, track and field star Gabby Thomas, who racked up three gold medals in Paris this summer. Thomas posted after the game, “First WNBA game of many! Had so much fun supporting these stars.”
To return the favor, perhaps Clark can check out Biles perform when her “Gold Over America Tour” kicks off next month. As for the Fever, they have nine more games left in the season to secure their spot in the playoffs. Next up, the Fever take the Sky on August 30.
