NFL Star Roasted for Bashing Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles Praising Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade

Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade finally won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics on Monday. She secured the victory in the floor exercise, marking her first gold this summer. While receiving her medal, USA stars Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles, who won silver and bronze, respectively, praised the Brazilian star by playfully bowing to her on the podium.

It was an awesome moment for Andrade, as she’s overcome three ACL injuries throughout her career. So, while standing on the podium, Biles and Chiles showed her some love in what has become one of the most iconic photos of the 2024 Olympic Games.

The moment captured love and support from sports fans around the world. However, Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey seemed to dislike the heartwarming moment altogether. Humphrey shared a four-word take that brought a ton of negative attention his way.

Sports fans were quick to defend Biles and Chiles for bowing down to Andrade at the Olympic podium during the medal ceremony. Humphrey and the Ravens keep coming short in the NFL playoffs.

Andrade suffered her first ACL injury back in 2015 that required reconstructive surgery. She was unable to compete in that year’s world championships. The Brazilian star bounced back but faced a second ACL tear in 2017. After recovering, Andrade returned a year later but suffered yet another ACL injury on the same knee in 2019 while doing her floor routine during the Brazilian nationals.

She has not suffered any injuries since then and has remained healthy. The Brazilian star has been stiff competition for Biles and Chiles throughout the 2024 Olympics.

Altogether, Andrade won one gold, two silver, and one bronze this year. Throughout her career, Andrade has won a total of six medals (two gold, three silver, one bronze), making her the most decorated Brazilian Olympian in the country’s history. This was the floor routine that secured her gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

Gymnastics concluded on Monday with Andrade’s gold medal victory. As for Biles and Chiles, they each are going home with several medals of their own. Biles finished this years Olympics with three golds and one silver medals. Meanwhile, Chiles secured a gold and bronze.
