While playing basketball as a job is fun, a lot goes into being a professional athlete that fans simply don’t pay attention to. Being famous has its perks, and for players in the NBA, one of those bonuses involves getting the attention of women seemingly anywhere they go.

However, some situations can be odd or even potentially dangerous for these players. As Nick Young recalled, there were instances where players across the league would awkwardly find out that the girl they were seeing was also seeing several different NBA players.

Young had his own drama-filled situation regarding women during his time in the league. D’Angelo Russell secretly recorded Swaggy P, admitting that he was consistently with other women despite being engaged to popular hip-hop artist Iggy Azalea at the time.

So, it’s safe to say that Nick knows a thing or two about these situations. He claims that many young players get shocked when they find out that the girls they are seeing have also been seen with different players in the NBA, leading to awkward encounters in the locker room.

“Some get mad, and it’s mostly the young guys, because they always think they the first to something,” Young said on VladTV. “Then if you tell them, you’re wrong, you’re a hater. You tell them, ‘She was out the house,’ or something like that, or ‘Be careful, we’ve seen her with such and such.’ I think you pay them to keep quiet, it’s when you got a situation going on.”
