Not for nothing, but the KC QB noted that he’s been trying to get Travis to lose the buzz cut for years.

People tend to change when they get into a serious relationship. Sometimes it’s an expansion of their food palate, or maybe a switch up in their style of dress. But a tell-tale sign that you are deeply bonding with your significant other is a whole new look. At least according to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
In a chat with SiriusXM NFL Radio on Tuesday (August 13), the Super Bowl champ said that he’s been bugging his go-to tight end to grow out his shaggy nearly bald fade haircut for years, but it took teaming up with Taylor Swift to get the job done. “I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out and all of a sudden Taylor gets him to do it,” Mahomes said during the chat from training camp that also featured KC coach Andy Reid and questions about whether the Chiefs might be the first NFL team to ever have a Super Bowl threepeat.
The proof is in the video. In a clip posted by the Chiefs on Tuesday Kelce, 34, can be seen rocking a shaggy grown-out head of hair to go with a mustache and five o’clock shadow beard.
As noted by People, back in February, Kelce’s longtime barber Patrick Regan talked about how the ballers’ signature buzz cut — which some took to calling the “Travis Kelce” — was catching on at barber shops across the county. The look that Regan called a “skin fade” or “bald face” consisted of shaving the sides of Kelce’s head and gradually fading into a three-blade shave.
At the time, Regan said the “Travis” had gotten a thumbs up from Swift, who had dropped in on a few of his sessions with Kelce. “Taylor loves the haircut,” he told Fox News. “She has watched me cut his hair a bunch of times and always compliments it after.”
Kelce is gearing up for KC’s second pre-season game against the Detroit Lions this weekend, while Swift will kick off a five-night stand at London’s Wembley Stadium on Thursday (August 15) after being forced to cancel three show at Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna last week due to the threat of a terror attack.
