Caitlin Clark’s vacation in Mexico did not last long. Clark was joined on the trip by Lexie Hull and Katie Lou Samuelson, a pair of her Indiana Fever teammates, and the trio dubbed themselves mermaids while being away from basketball for a bit. But now they are back at it on the court, as the Fever shared footage of the squad returning to practice. All while Clark’s Olympic break due to not being chosen for Team USA was back in the news.

Clark was last seen in WNBA action during the All-Star Game on July 20th and Indiana doesn’t have another actual contest until August 16th. But that didn’t stop them from getting back to work, perhaps to make up for time lost at the beginning of the season. The Fever opened the year with 11 games in 20 days, not allowing for much of a chance to gel between game action against many of the league’s elite teams.

Clark and company have bounced back nicely from a rough start. The Fever are 10-7 since starting 1-8 and find themselves in playoff position before competition begins again. Caitlin has formed a special rapport with All-Star teammate Aliyah Boston, while the third member of the franchise to be represented during the festivities in Phoenix, Kelsey Mitchell, has provided a steady scoring presence.
Clark had stated she didn’t want to touch a basketball for a little while once she finally got some time off. However, it seems that time has passed, which means everyone around her will see the ball soon enough given her penchant for passing.
