Billboard recently announced the list of albums appearing in this week’s Billboard 200 chart. In particular, audiences around the world immediately paid attention to the battle between the pair of “frenemies” Taylor Swift and Kanye West. This time, the female pop star’s The Tortured Poets Department won, climbing to No. 1 on the chart, becoming her longest-running No. 1 album in the US.

According to Luminate data, Taylor’s new album holds the top spot with 142,000 units, the first album since Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time to spend at least 14 weeks at the top position. Before that, the only threat to the throne of the singer born in 1989 was Kanye West’s new album Vultures 2. However, in the end, Taylor Swift won gloriously.

Kanye’s album debuted at No. 2 on the chart with 107,000 units after release. Vultures 2 also made a strong impact in terms of sales with 60,500 copies in the first week, becoming the second best-selling album according to Billboard. However, unfortunately this is the male rapper’s first album that did not debut at the top spot after a series of 11 consecutive albums reaching No.1. In contrast, Taylor’s album is the longest-running number one album by a female artist since Adele’s 21.
