Caitlin Clark goes out to do her own grocery shopping despite being one of the most famous athletes on the planet right now.
The WNBA star is having a remarkable rookie campaign for the Indiana Fever and has a growing fanbase among young females, given the talent she’s been displaying since college.
Given her popularity, Clark can’t go out and expect not to get bombarded by folks looking for pictures, autographs, or just an opportunity to let her know that they’re her biggest fan.
It doesn’t appear that she’s always happy to oblige. IU Indianapolis posted photos of two of their players posing with Clark at Krogers on Monday night, and Clark didn’t seem happy to have her shopping interrupted as she put on a fake smile for both snaps.
Check her out below:
“Caitlin with the fake smile that kids give when they don’t want a picture taken,” a user joked.
“She had to take 25 pictures at the Kroger look at her face,” another said.
“She don’t look to thrilled lol,” a fan wrote.
Caitlin Clark Isn’t Always In The Mood
Caitlin Clark has spoken about how appreciative she is of all the support she gets from fans in the past, claiming she tries her best not to turn anyone down.
“The people I idolized in my life were, you know, either professional women’s basketball players, professional soccer players, and that’s what I wanted to be growing up,” she said earlier this year. “And I think, you know, understanding how big of an impact that can have on a young girl’s life is super important.
“So I always try to make as much time as I can for them. And just to see them scream your name or have your jersey on — that’s something that never gets old.”
Clark is usually great with fans, especially kids. Still, sometimes you just want to get your groceries and go home.
