Virat Kohli who was last featured in the India vs Sri Lanka ODI series was recently spotted on the streets of London.

New Delhi: Star Indian batter Virat Kohli recently featured in the India vs Sri Lanka three-match ODI series. He didn’t have a great series and only managed to score 58 runs. He struggled to perform against the Sri Lankan spinners in the challenging conditions.

India’s batting failure resulted in the ODI series loss against Sri Lanka after 27 years. Kohli returned to the team after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados. After the victory, he retired from the shortest format and will focus on Test and ODI formats.

After losing the Sri Lanka series, Kohli flew back to London where he lives with wife Anushka Sharma and two kids. During the ODI series, The star cricketer faced a lot of criticism for his capability of playing spin bowling but he was unfazed by it. Kohli has now taken some time off and was recently spotted on the streets of London.

Even after the T20 World Cup, many reports surfaced that Kohli, along with his kids and wife Anushka Sharma is planning to settle down in London. Though there is no concrete evidence in these reports but Kohli has expressed his desire of living away from the media and crowd.

What’s next for Virat Kohli?

After retiring from the T20 internationals, Kohli is now focused on the upcoming Champions Trophy and World Test Championship in 2025. The Men in Blue qualified for the two consecutive WTC finals but faced defeat from New Zealand and Australia. Under his leadership, Team India also lost the final of the Champions Trophy against Pakistan in 2017.

Indian cricketers are currently enjoying a long break and will be back in action on September 19 and will face Bangladesh in the two-match Test series. The Men in Blue will also play three Test matches against New Zealand in October and will tour Australia for the five-match Test series in November.
