Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) shoots a 3-pointer Wednesday, July 10, 2024, during the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever improved to 2-0 against the Phoenix Mercury during the 2024 WNBA season with a 95-86 win on Friday night.
Clark was extremely impressive in the win. She finished the game with 20 points, 13 assists, and 6 rebounds in 38 minutes played. She also went 2 of 7 from three-point range.
But there was one specific three-pointer from the first quarter that went viral because of who she made it against.
Clark drained a three against Mercury forward Brittney Griner, who is listed as standing as 6’9″ tall.
One video of Clark’s shot already has nearly 1 million views on X.
“Omg Caitlin just shot over Britney griner #wnba #caitlinclark,” the caption wrote, along with a few emojis.

Fans are fascinated by Clark’s ability to drain such a deep shot over a much taller opponent.
“How good she is, I don’t understand how there are people who dare to criticize a girl who shines the ball with every performance,” one fan wrote.
“That’s a long reach to shoot over,” added another.
This is far from the first time Clark has amazed fans with her on-court ability. And it surely won’t be the last, either.
