To say that Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark has some of the most passionate fans around would probably be an understatement. In fact, more than a few of them would not hesitate to call out anyone they feel crosses Clark’s path in the wrong way. 

Recently, WNBA icon Sheryl Swoopes felt the full wrath of Clark fans, who feel that the six-time All-Star was out of line for claiming that the Fever would make it to the playoffs even without their star rookie. According to Swoopes, this is the reason why she’s picking Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky as her Rookie of the Year.

Clark fans did not like that one bit.

This time around, it’s another Hall of Famer who’s drawn the ire of Clark supporters. Dawn Staley, a former five-time WNBA All-Star, is now being accused of blocking a Clark-centered fan account on X, formerly Twitter. This is after Staley, who is the head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team, supposedly grew tired of all the Caitlin content produced by the page.

To be fair, even Clark Report, the X account in question, itself claims that they are unsure as to what really led to Staley’s decision to block them. They strongly suspect, however, that it’s because of a video they recently posted, which contains highlights of Clark leading the Iowa Hawkeyes to victory against the Gamecocks during their 2023 NCAA Final Four matchup.

For their part, Clark fans took the opportunity to share their brutally honest thoughts about Staley and her recent social media activity.

“bro if this is true, its soft asf….. Its just a highlight tape,” said a fan.

“😂😂😂😂 She talks a bunch of 💩 to have such thin skin if this is true,” read a comment.

“the only reason she ever gave cc her flowers was when she was so relieved cc didn’t beat her again 😂it’s hating otherwise,” surmised a supporter.

“Dawg these people are so soft nowadays LMFAO. It’s truly hilarious,” said another response.

“Staley is so insecure,” a comment read.

Staley is one of the most active women’s basketball personalities on X, and it appears that she’s particular about the content she sees on her feed. Well, she won’t be encountering anything from Clark Report ever again.
