Cherelle Griner had the time of her life at the Paris Olympics as she cheered on her wife.
Two years after serving time in Russian custody, Brittney Griner won her third Olympic medal as she helped the U.S. women’s basketball team overcome a 10-point third quarter deficit to secure a 67-66 win against France.
The victory marks the team’s eighth consecutive gold medal.
Along this road has been her wife, Cherelle Griner, who was there every step of the way.
Amid the Olympics run was, Griner taking to her Instagram and showing off her notable outfit while at one of the games in Paris.
Among her photos, Cherelle Griner could be seen posing in a tight brown bodysuit while in the stands at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
Her next picture was of her showing off her Team USA cap while outside.
The third picture she showed was of her nails, which sported the number 15, Brittney Griner’s jersey number.
The fifth post that Cherelle Griner shared was a video inside the arens that showed fans singing along to a Rihanna song.
Her final post was a selfie of her and Brittney Griner in what looks like a train.
Cherelle Griner Was A Catalyst To get Brittany Griner Free From Russia
Cherelle Griner, the wife of WNBA star Brittney Griner, would not stop until her wife was free from Russia.
Griner had been detained in Russia for 212 days ever since she was arrested at a Moscow airport for carrying vape cartridges that contained cannabis oil in her luggage.
She was sentenced to nine years in prison in August, a ruling that’s been appealed.
Working close to Joe Biden, that freedom finally came true as a result of a trade.
When Cherelle spoke from the White House, she made it clear: “Today my family is whole, but as you are all aware, there are so many families who are not whole.”
She added that she will continue advocating for “getting every American home, including Paul, whose family is in our hearts today.”
