In the end, the 27-year-old star was delighted to receive the Moon Person trophy for Best K-pop Song. In her speech, Lisa called the winning song – Rockstar – “a meaningful return to her career”.
Rising star Sabrina Carpenter won Song of the Year for her 2024 hit Espresso . “I feel so grateful, I really have the best fans in the world. I know it sounds cheesy, but I love you guys,” the blonde beauty said as she accepted the award.

The Best New Artist award went to Chappell Roan. In her acceptance speech, Chappell Roan thanked everyone who followed her, especially her LGBTQ+ fans.
Beating out many strong contenders, female singer Tyla won the Best Afrobeat Song category with Water . The list of winners at the 2024 VMAs also included Best Hip-Hop Song for Houdini by Eminem, Best R&B Song for Snooze by SZA, and Best Latin Song for Mil Veces by Anitta.

The 2024 VMAs also featured explosive, creative performances. The brightest was Katy Perry’s medley of Dark Horse, ET, Teenage Dream, I Kissed a Girl, Firework and Lifetimes . The highlight of the performance was the 8X singer’s swinging in the air. She also won the Video Vanguard trophy.
Lisa also did not disappoint the audience with her performance of the song Rockstar . She wore a rock-inspired outfit and performed a series of sexy dances on stage.
Singer Camila Cabello also gave the audience an emotional performance of the song Godspeed, instead of saying goodbye to a toxic relationship. This is the third time the former Fifth Harmony member has sung at the VMAs.
