Swift saw it coming but couldn’t stop it
Very few things can put a Taylor Swift concert on hold, but an unfortunate interruption at her Eras Tour show in Milan proved to be the exception. A fan captured the shocking incident on video when Swift suffered a gross moment on stage – while her live microphone picked up the whole thing.
Taylor Swift show interrupted in Milan
The 34-year-old was in the middle of the surprise song section of her set when an even bigger surprise occurred, interrupting her unique crossover of “I Almost Do” and “The Moment I Knew.”
Her quick and honest explanation of what went wrong took some of the tension out of the moment, but the Swifties in attendance might have wished she spared the details.
“Swallowed another one,” the pop star said while coughing. Her fans knew the drill as Swift has swallowed a bug at least two other times in the past year, during shows in Chicago and London. The crowd applauded her and urged her to continue performing.
“I knew it would happen because there’s so many bugs here tonight,” she said while the audience “boo’d” the bugs. “We’ll be fine in one second. I just need to cough a little more.”
What’s next for Taylor Swift?
Swift spent the weekend performing at San Siro Stadium in front of the Italian crowd. Her next three stops of the European leg of the Eras Tour will be in Germany, before playing Warsaw, Vienna and rounding it off with five more shows at Wembley in London in August. After her departure from Europe, she will have a few months off, which line up with the start of boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The pesky pests seem intent on causing Taylor Swift problems, but it’s gonna take a lot more than that to stop Spotify’s No. 1 artist.
