Amidst one of the biggest weeks of her career, Taylor Swift found time to be a bridesmaid at her childhood best friend Abigal Anderson’s wedding on Saturday.

The 27-year-old appeared to have a vital role in the wedding, which was held at Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. Pictures show the singer wearing a floor length burgundy gown, holding her bestie’s elaborate Stella York wedding dress as the bride entered the church.

An eyewitness told E! News that Taylor went in the church around 4:12 p.m. and the service, which began at 4:30, was over in 20 minutes. She was dressed in the same colour as the other bridesmaids. The flower girls were outfitted in white.

“All the bridesmaids came through the park to the church and Taylor arrived with the bride in a black car,” according to the source.

“They entered through the back door of the church since that was easier and shorter way for avoiding people and paparazzi. They walked in very quickly and she was holding the bride’s dress and [Taylor] had a serious [look on her] face.”

A second eyewitness added that there were about five police officers and five security guards spread out around the church.

Abigail is essentially the OG member of Taylor’s squad. The pair have been inseparable since their first day of high school.

Taylor even put Abigail in one of her hit singles, “Fifteen,” which had the lyrics: “You sit in class next to a redhead named Abigail/And soon enough your best friends Abigail gave everything she had to a boy who changed his mind/We both cried.”

It’s been a big month for Taylor. Just last week, the internet went into meltdown after the singer enexpectedly dropped her new single ‘Look What You Made Me Do,’ giving fans their first taste of new music since 2014.

She wasn’t done there however, deciding to step things up a notch by releasing a second song just yesterday called ‘Ready For It.’

The song was shared as a snippet on ESPN for the college football game between Alabama and Florida state. During the game’s pre-show, one-minute clip came out that showed the two teams running onto the field with Taylor’s new track.

Taylor’s sixth studio album, Reputation,is due out November 10th.
