Everyone Is Saying The Same Thing About The U.S. Basketball Jerseys For 2024 Summer Olympics After They Were Unveiled To The Public

Sports fans had the same thing to say about the jerseys that the U.S.  basketball teams will wear for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Once again, the men’s and women’s teams enter the Olympics as the overwhelming favorites to win gold medals. U.S. basketball has dominated both games, as the men’s team has secured gold in every tournament since 1992, except for 2004 (they finished in third).

The U.S. women’s basketball team has won gold at the Summer Olympics every year since 1996. The last time they failed to emerge victorious was in 1992, when the Soviet Union women’s team (called the “Unified Team”) won the event.

 

On Wednesday, Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant and Las Vegas Aces standout A’ja Wilson revealed the new uniforms that the U.S.  basketball teams will wear at this year’s Olympic games in Paris, France:

The women’s tournament will begin on July 28 and run through Aug. 11. There are three groups with four teams in each, with Group A featuring Spain, Serbia, China and Puerto Rico. Group B features Canada, Nigeria, France and Australia, and Group C consists of Germany, Japan, the U.S. and Belgium.

July 27 will mark the beginning of the men’s tournament. Four of the 12 spots need to be decided via the ongoing 2024 FIBA Men’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments. So far, Canada and Australia have been confirmed for Group A, with Group B featuring France, Germany and Japan. Group C has Serbia, the U.S. and South Sudan.

The U.S.  Basketball Men’s & Women’s Rosters

The U.S.  basketball men’s Olympic team features Durant, LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Bam Adebayo, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum, Kawhi Leonard, Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday, Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton.

The women’s team features the aforementioned Wilson, Brittney Griner, Jewell Loyd, Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young, Kahleah Cooper, Napheesa Collier, Kelsey Plum, Alyssa Thomas, Diana Taurasi, Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu.
