The Caitlin Clark train will not slow down in 2025

All Caitlin Clark had to do was say the word.

The Indiana Fever rookie put the ball in the WNBA‘s court after a record-breaking 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, and now the “party” Clark dreamed of is headed to Indianapolis in 2025.

Caitlin Clark asks, WNBA delivers

Clark gave her free-wheeling thoughts after teaming up with Angel Reese and the rest of the non-Olympians to defeat Team USA in the 2024 All-Star showcase in Phoenix. In the heat of the moment, she might not have expected her postgame wishes to be granted so quickly.

“Great All-Star Weekend,” Clark said in a clip from the Fever’s All Access video series, which is following the team through the 2024 season.

“Shoutout Aliyah [Boston]. Shoutout Kels [Mitchell]. Shoutouts to everybody who showed up. We gotta bring it to Indianapolis. That’s what we need to do. Bring this to Indianapolis. Bring the party to Indy,” she said.

Less than a month later, the WNBA officially announced Indianapolis as the host of the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. Indianapolis hosted the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, but next year will mark the first time that the WNBA has awarded the All-Star Game to Indy.

Stats show Caitlin Clark influence on WNBA

The announcement comes as little surprise given Clark’s popularity. During the recent WNBA break for the Olympics, the Fever released remarkable mid-season figures that proved her influence, most notably a 264% increase in total attendance from last year.

Obviously, the influence Clark has on the league goes beyond the court and the box office, as the league is now billing its biggest events with her personal wishes in mind.
