Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark headlined the list of WNBA stars gracing the All-Star Game Orange carpet in Phoenix on Thursday. The Orange Carpet event was organized ahead of the Team USA vs Team WNBA All-Star Game scheduled to take place on Saturday.

Fans greeted Clark at the Orange Carpet event with love as the rookie arrived in style. On the sidelines of the event, Clark was quizzed about teaming up with Angel Reese. The two leading candidates for the Rookie of the Year award are part of Team WNBA.

Clark voiced her excitement about playing alongside the former LSU star.

“Yeah, I am very excited. I think it’s cool,” Clark said. “It is rare to have two rookies in the All-Star game, so just enjoy that. Obviously the fans are super excited about it. I think it’s just really good for the W (women’s basketball).”

Clark then predicted that Reese would lead the All-Star Game in rebounds.

“She is having an incredible year so it’s going to be incredibly fun. She is probably going to lead the game in rebounds. I expect that out of there because that’s what she does.”

On the possibility of leading the All-Star Game in assists, Clark humbly reacted:

“We will see. I don’t know about that.”

The 22-year-old currently leads the league in assists. She has averaged 8.2 assists per game across 26 appearances with the Indiana Fever.

Meanwhile, Reese is ranked first in rebounding with an average of 12 boards per game.
