If you’ve been hunting around the cable box for the WNBA the past few days and come up empty handed, there’s a reason for that. The reenergized league is currently on a 24-day break due to the 2024 Olympic games in Paris. Former Iowa phenom and rookie-of-the-year contender Caitlin Clark isn’t letting that time go to waste, however.

On Tuesday, Clark spoke to reporters about her plans for the hiatus at Indiana Fever practice, saying she is hoping to break in a new set of sticks later in the week. Check it out.

“I’m going to try to play more golf over the break,” Clark said. “I have been out there yet this year. I’ve got new clubs I need to break in and see how they swing.”

Asked what kind of clubs she got, Clark said she has “a lot of clubs,” but just got a set of new “something smoke?” Callaways. We’re assuming she means Callaway’s Paradym Ai Smoke range, which are an excellent choice according to our Hot List testers, who awarded the line’s drivers, fairway woods and irons five-stars and Hot List Gold status in 2024.

Clark may have picked up some new golf buddies during the break as well, learning that teammate Grace Berger won a golf state championship while in high school.
