Little Kairo Forbes will carry the memory of her father – rapper AKA – with her for the rest of her life. She’ll also carry his likeness, which was seen in a throwback posted on Instagram by his mom Lynn Forbes.

And fans of the late hitmaker think the striking similarities are a touching tribute to his legacy.

In February, AKA – the real name Kiernan Forbes – was shot and killed by an unknown gunman outside a Durban restaurant.  An arrest by police has yet to be made.

KAIRO COMPARED TO THROWBACK PIC OF AKA

Just days after the three-month anniversary of AKA’s death, his mom Lynn Forbes posted a bittersweet throwback of the star.

“Cut from a different cloth”, she captioned an image of the young rapper embracing her.

And just one look at the pic, it was clear the resemblance between the late star and his daughter Kairo.

In 2015, AKA welcomed his only child with his ex-girlfriend Zinhle Jiyane. The dad-and-daughter duo had an incredible bond.

And fans of the slain star think they share the same face, too, judging from the pic.

AKA’S MOM: ‘MOUNT EVEREST IS CALLING’

Meanwhile, AKA’s mom Lynn Forbes has again hinted at her plans to climb Mount Everest.

Five years ago, Lynn – fondly known as Glammy – climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in celebration of her 50th birthday and the birth of her first grandchild; Kairo. This time, it seems she is doing it in memory of her son.

Last month, the mom-of-two shared a side-by-side comparison of Kilimanjaro vs Everest in an Instagram Story. “I now live for a deeper place”, she captioned another post.

Lynn’s post comes days after she hinted at the dare-devil mission. Sharing a picture of the mountain, she captioned it: “Everest. The mountain is calling, and I must go”. The IG Story was aptly set to AKA’s track Everest off his posthumous album Mass Country.

Mount Everest is located in the Himalayan mountains across the China–Nepal border in Asia.

It’s unclear if or when Lynn will embark on the dangerous expedition. However, she does have invaluable experience. In 2018, Lynn and a group of climbers submitted Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest mountain in Tanzania.

The mission was three-fold: celebrating her 50th birthday, her first grandchild Kairo Forbes, and raising money for charity.

Lynn was part of the 2018 Trek4Mandela Expedition, which raised over R1 million to support charities for disadvantaged school girls in South Africa.

“The most free I’ve ever felt”, she captioned a clip of her adventure.
