Chicago Sky player Angel Reese has been in the spotlight lately for her impressive skills on the court and her fun personality off of it.

However, her younger brother, Julian “JuJu” Reese, made a surprising claim about why she shoots left-handed, which prompted Angel to speak out and set the record straight.

During a rapid-fire question session with reporters, Julian was asked if Angel is right-handed or left-handed.

He claimed, “We both shoot with our left hands, but she’s really right-handed. But she just wanted to shoot like me, so she switched them left-handed randomly.”

This statement caught Angel’s attention, leading her to reshare the video of her brother’s claim and deny the funny allegation.

In her post, Angel humorously exposed his lie.

“My baby brotherrr💞😭 not you lying saying i switched hands cause i wanted to be like you stoppp itttt,” Reese wrote.

Angel Reese and Julian Reese grew up playing basketball together in Maryland, and both attended the same high school. Their mother instilled a love for sports in them from an early age, often encouraging them to practice and compete with each other.

Angel has often shared how these experiences helped shape her into the player she is today. She told “What’s Up?” in March 2022, “We played all the time together. It helped shape me to who I am now.”

In the same interview via NBA Future Starts Now, Julian made another bold claim about their sibling rivalry. When asked about who would win in one-on-one games, Julian said he would come out on top.

Angel Reese is indeed ambidextrous, meaning she can use both hands for various activities. However, she prefers to shoot with her left hand.

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese at Wintrust Arena.Julian is also making a name for himself in basketball. As a senior forward for the Maryland Terrapins, he averaged 13.7 points and 9.5 rebounds last season. He often refers to Angel as an “inspiration,” showing the supportive bond they share.
