Asia’s richest family is all set to witness a gala event at India’s Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai as Ambani scion Anant Ambani ties the knot with Radhika Merchant on July 12. Several US celebrities will grace the main wedding event that follows a string of equally dazzling pre-wedding events — Justin Bieber performed in one of them. It is nothing new for the Ambani family to fly US celebs to their family events — Beyonce, Rihanna and Kate Perry performed earlier.

Anant Ambani, Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s youngest son, is the chairman of Reliance Industries, one of India’s largest conglomerates. He has headlined project Vantara, a rehabilitation center in Gujarat’s Jamnagar focusing on the rescue and treatment of injured animals.

Radhika Merchant is daughter of Shaila and Viren Merchant, CEO of pharma company Encore Healthcare.

Rihanna had performed at one of the pre-wedding festivities held months ago. Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka attended the pre-wedding.

Wedding guest list: American celebs likely to attend

Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian reached Mumbai Thursday and were seen leaving the airport.

According to reports, Kardashians’ hairstylist Chris Appleton and makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic are also on the guest list. So is US TikToker and content creator Julia Chafe.

Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is likely to attend the event.

Mike Tyson, John Cena, Nick Jonas, Jay Shetty, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Keinan Warsame, Luis Rodriguez, Divine Ikubor are on the guest list.

Videos and photos of recent celebrations – including a video of the Ambani family lip syncing and dancing to a Bollywood song as well as one of Mukesh Ambani and his wife driving along with their grandchildren – have flooded social media and are being extensively covered by Indian media.

Friday’s wedding will feature traditional Hindu rituals and the reception will be held over two days. On Monday, there will be a “special reception” for Ambani’s household staff, according to a document detailing the plans.

Rajan Mehra, chief executive of Club One Air, said the Ambanis have hired three of his company’s Falcon-2000 jets to ferry wedding guests and expects 100 plus private planes to be used for the events.

“The guests are coming from all over and each aircraft will make multiple trips across the country,” he said.
