Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark had a special guest for her game against the Minnesota Lynx
The Indiana Fever defeated the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday afternoon, pulling out a gritty 81-74 victory. Star rookie Caitlin Clark did not have her best game, shooting just 5/17 from the field, but still finished with 17 points, six assists, and three rebounds.
This game was a difficult one for Indiana, as Minnesota entered play on Sunday with the best record in the Western Conference, but the Fever secured an impressive victory to make it two-straight wins.
Clark had a special guest at this game, as her former Iowa Hawkeyes teammate Monika Czinano was in attendance. Sharing a picture with Czinano on her Instagram story, Clark sent a three-word message to their former teammate Kate Martin, jokingly asking the Las Vegas Aces rookie if she is jealous:
Clark and Martin are best friends, as their relationship has remained strong since they both embarked on their respective WNBA journeys. The Aces were in action on Sunday afternoon as well, defeating the Washington Mystics. Martin played just nine minutes in this game, scoring three points.
WNBA fans have fallen in love with friendship between Martin and Clark, as the two former Iowa stars have maintained a very close relationship since being selected in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
Having some fun with her former teammate, Clark asked if she was jealous that Czinano pulled up to the Fever vs. Lynx game. Clark and Czinano were able to celebrate a Fever victory together after Indiana erased an eight-point Minnesota lead to make it two-straight wins.
