Clark is one of the leading candidates for the Rookie Of The Year Award this season. With the regular season almost over, her chance to win the.‘award, in close contention with Angel Reese, will be interesting to watch.

Caitlin Clark gives a blunt answer to the Trotter in reply to the ROTY award

The competition between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark for the Rookie Of The Year Award is close this season. While one has been the best player on her team, the other has been having a historic season so far.

Clark has been the best player on her team. She is leading her team in both points and assists. Clark has also guided her team to the sixth spot in the WNBA after 33 games.

On the other hand, Reese has shattered multiple rebounding records in his rookie season. She leads the league in total as well as averaged rebounds per game.

While their teams are looking to make it to the playoffs, Clark was clear about where she stands on the ROTY award. She said after the win against Chicago Sky her focus right now is on winning games for her team.

“I’m sure [Angel] would give you the same exact answer—T’m sure she has given you the same exact answer,” Clark added. “So for us, everybody can write that but our focus is on winning basketball games. It’s as simple as that, like winning basketball games. And that was the same story for us when we were in college.”

Likewise, Reese also had the same answer. She also said she was more concerned about her team’s result than the ROTY award. The Sky lost their sixth consecutive game against the Minnesota Lynx.
