So 99.9% of the world found out last night that Caitlin Clark rolled her ankle because they  follow Dave on Twitter. I’ll admit that from looking at that picture, I assumed she was at minimum out for a month, at maximum on her death bed. Likely needed to get the foot amputated. And apparently Caitlin Clark agreed, because although she did return moments later and finished the game, she critqued herself postgame by calling herself “Really Soft”

That’s my Queen. So humble, and so funny! Angel Reese would be sitting at the podium in a walking boot to draw more attention to herself, but that’s neither here nor there. The fact of the matter is that Caitlin Clark not only exudes toughness on the court, but she’s also willing to laugh at herself when she looks silly. Which she did….

I bet Dave’s heart stopped there for a second. Remember he’s got a 100/1 ticket to win a cool TEN MILLION DOLLARS should the Fever win the WNBA Title this year. And while that’s still not likely, they’ve improved to 35/1 based on a combination of the money coming in (I hopped on) and the fact that they’re playing much better basketball than they were during their 1-9 stretch to start the season.

I mean, the bet isn’t that crazy. Only 8 teams make the playoffs and the Fever will be one of them. Think if they win a series (which they 100% could, especially in a Best of 3) and Dave’s got a 100/1 bet on a team sitting in the Final Four. The hedge on the heaviest favorite could still pay him a million bucks!
