Caitlin Clark had her final game of the year and it had no shortage of drama.
The Indiana Fever rookie was in the midst of facing the Connecticut Sun in Game Two on Wednesday night, hoping to extend the series and return to Indiana when controversy kicked off.
There were a number of tense moments on the court during the first half of Wednesday’s game. The first came when Caitlin Clark and Sun veteran DeWanna Bonner had a feisty, physical exchange after Clark complained to a referee about a potential foul on Bonner that went uncalled.
The most notable one came right afterward when Clark appeared to engage in a verbal interaction with a fan sitting in the second row of Mohegan Sun Arena.
Caitlin Clark was not going to take what was said to her lying down as she got a referee and motioned for them to get ejected.
Something bad had to have been said because another video showed Clark informing teammate NaLyssa Smith what was said to her, and her reaction said it all.
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever lost the first quarter 17-14 after they came out hot with a 10-4 lead.
Following the first quarter, Caitlin Clark spoke to ESPN and ensured they knew her focus was on the game, not what happened with the fan.
“Stay focused about what’s on the floor. My four other teammates are right here with me. I think that’s the most important. I thought we had a good start,” Clark told ESPN after the first quarter.

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre has taken a swipe at pop sensation Taylor Swift for political reasons ahead of the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.
The 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is known to be a supporter of former President Donald Trump and has previously endorsed him.
He’s since taken a shot at Swift, who recently endorsed Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris following Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes informing everyone that he wouldn’t endorse a candidate.
“Good take by Mahomes,” he wrote in a tweet.
“I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves. If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”
